Regular brushing plays an important part in the condition of your hair. The Mason Pearson Hairbrush cleans the hair, stimulates the scalp increasing the blood flow to the roots. A natural conditioning oil, sebum, comes from a gland at the base of every hair; brushing spreads it along the lenght of the hair giving it strenght, suppleness and producing a healthy sheen.
The unique rubber-cushion pad, made by hand using Mason Pearson’s original techniques, allows for effective and efficient brushing. The cellulose plastic handle is hand-polished and any sharp edges are removed to make the hairbrush more comfortable to hold. This handle was developed from the original wooden design which we continue to make in small quantities. We build our products to last as long as possible, so with a little care, they should give good service. We try to make improvements continuously. We have developed our own special nylon and take particular care in our selection of natural bristles to use the best combination for each brush.
PURE BRISTLE: For fine - normal hair, fine long hair (the SENSITIVE models are for very fine or thinning hair)
BRISTLE & NYLON MIX: For normal - short thick hair.
NYLON: For very thick hair.
Long Hair:
In general, the longer the hair the bigger the brush required. However, if a person is more comfortable with a smaller brush, it may be necessary to use a smaller mixture model instead of a larger pure bristle one.
